As for many other organisatons, the task of keeping the ISIS Europe going has become much more difficult in recent years, as finance has become more and more problematic. In 2014, the Governing Board decided that, without the certainty of adequate long-term funding to properly staff the organisation, there was no possibility of continuing to produce work at our historically high standard. Preparations for the closure of the organisation were put in hand last year, and are now effectively complete.

The Governing Board would like to thank all of those who have contributed to the success of the organisation over so many years. That includes first of all grant-giving organisations, notably the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust and the Polden Puckham Foundation, who supported us for so long. It includes successive Board members, Executive Directors and staff, as well as interns, whose enthusiasm and hard work made ISIS a major feature in the Brussels security landscape for so long. It also includes many friends and professional colleagues outside the organisation.

Consultations are in hand about the future of the CSDP Mission Analysis Partnership, and a separate announcement will be made as soon as possible.
